Puppies
Prepping our puppies for their forever homes is our top priority! So, the care we take in breeding to create the best puppies is matched by the thorough socialisation we give them throughout the formative first eight weeks of life.

2 Days - 2 Weeks Old

Puppies find comfort in an in-home puppy nursery with constant supervision and care. Each puppy is weighed in the afternoon to ensure proper growth. At this stage they are growing quickly and bonding with each other and their mom.

At 3 days old we begin Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) exercises.

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) is a scientifically developed method designed to enhance a puppy’s neurological,

cardiovascular, and immune system development during its critical early life stage.

Introduced by the U.S. military’s “Super Dog” programme and

later popularised by Dr. Carmen L. Battaglia, ENS involves a series of gentle, controlled exercises performed on puppies between day 3 and day 16 of life.

By exposing puppies to mild stressors for just a few seconds each day, ENS helps strengthen their ability to handle stress, improves brain function, and boosts resilience.

Research has shown that dogs who undergo ENS tend to be

healthier, more confident, and better equipped to handle new

experiences. Whether for working dogs or family pets, ENS is a simple yet powerful tool for raising well-adjusted and high-

performing dogs.

Towards the end of two weeks their eyes are opening, and they are learning to walk.

2 - 4 Weeks Old

Eyes and ears are now open so socialisation starts.

The puppies begin asking for attention and find their voice.

We keep the nails short and introduce a new toy each day. This is also the stage where we start teaching recovery from fear - bouncing back. We make loud noises, vacuum, drop pans, etc. They recover almost immediately and show very little fear. Lastly, we touch and handle their ears, paws and mouths to continue desensitising them.

4 - 6 Weeks Old

The excitement begins with learning to play with toys, chasing each other around, and receiving lots of hands-on socialisation.

The puppies are beginning their adventure in the world of soft food and water. Watching them navigate the litter-sized food bowl is always a cute scene. During these weeks, the puppies start potty training. This ultimately helps our families get a head start on house training by the time they head home.

Most people think of socialisation as exposing their puppies to as many new experiences as possible while the puppy is young. While this is part of the process, it’s not enough. Our goal is to expose them to different surfaces, uneven surfaces with a wobble board, and elevated surfaces with a raised dog bed and a ball pit full of bouncy balls all to help them grown into confident dogs.

At this age we introduce a puppy gym with lots of toys hanging down for the puppies to run through and enjoy!

6 - 8 Weeks Old

At this stage we are continuing to work with the puppies to expose them to just the right experiences at the right time.

The puppies have a lot of play sessions in our outdoor puppy area where they can play with their siblings as well as be exposed to various surfaces such as: astronomical turf, rubber, stones and a big ball pit which they adore!

Puppies get to practice their training in real life settings, we start working on recall, interactions and name recognition once the families have choses the names for their puppies.

~ New Training Begins:

~ To give up a toy.
